Atelier No. 2 ~ studio part one

little by very little I'm getting there...

the transformation from dining room to
~studio~

Photobucket
the writing to you and painting table...
above...
a lighted paper garland made from vintage book pages...

Photobucket
vintage drawer holds all the 'little' desk necessities

Photobucket
must have world clocks...
it's always good to know the time in Paris...

Photobucket
vintage office card files~perfect for paint bottles sorted by color
they sit atop an antique sewing machine trestle draped with Ahrisha's beautiful
table cloth I won....

Photobucket
probably my favorite piece...this chest~ cool 50's style & so sturdy...it holds...well,
I think everything!

Photobucket
lot's of vintage silver keeping little things sorted and handy...

Photobucket
I could never have enough antique frames...
just a few I've hung so far, more to go:)

Photobucket

Photobucket
the design board
made with painters drop cloth, quite appropriate!
...so handy, so pretty!
clipped to the top, a vintage bed lamp~ the kind that used to sit on
the headboard...remember these?

Photobucket
Carla's banner...the perfect spot for 'love' !

Made changes to my blog as well...did you notice?

I suppose I'm feeling the onset of fall cleaning...
or maybe just the very late arrival of
spring cleaning...yes, that is much more likely the case.

Thanks to all for hanging in there with me during my little 'blog nap'!!
I've accomplished alot these past few weeks, not everything on my list but alot.
I'm still, it seems, always about 3 weeks on sign orders and what used to feel like...
'omg, I'm so behind!!!'
all the time
is, well, just becoming the norm for me. That is to say, I'm learning to relax a little.

Hope you enjoyed a little peek around the new studio...
I'll share more photos soon, as it is always a work in progress!

Next up will be my fall sign giveaway....here's a hint,
remember my favorite
pumkin color??

Oh Paula Sweetie...
Be still my little heart, I am so in love with your creating space. Love the paper garland and those frames are TDF. I LOVE them especially the little oval leaned up against the larger one. How original and creative.

I have missed you sweet friend. Welcome back, and what a beautiful job you have done. Love the long drapes. Beautiful...

See ya soon. Have a gorgeous day. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

You have been busy, Paula! I don't know that you are late on your Spring cleaning; I am more of a Fall Fresher Upper myself! The room is looking good and I love your clocks with their labels. And your board is great! I have Carla's banner, too!

Hi Paula! What a beautiful room to create in! I never would'ave thought of re-purposing a dining room into a studio. Great idea! Love the clocks on the wall and that awesome cabinet!

Hey Paula! Welcome back to blogland. Hope you had a nice break. Your studio is so calming and inspiring. Unlike mine that's filled to the rafters with "stuff". The tarnished silver pieces, frames, vintage card file . . . I love it all. The "world clocks" is so cute and unexpected. The design board is fabulous made with painter's cloth and the lamp attached - very smart. And, I'm super flattered you have my little LOVE banner hanging there. :o) Glad to see you've enjoyed it.

Have fun creating!
Carla

Holy Artistic Heaven, Batman! This is amazing. That lighted paper garland is unbelievable.

If I had that as work space I would never get anything done. I would just sit there and admire the room.

Absolutely amazing.
