Let it begin...and Père Noël

I have to confess,
decorating
for Christmas is truly my favorite part of the whole event!
(this is news to you I'm sure!! )
Let the decorating begin!
For some unknown reason it begins at the mantle in the kitchen...

this year I made little pots of boxwood tied with grosgrain chartruese bows...all nestled among oodles of silver and gold beads....

simply divine me thinks!

It is such a beautiful Sunday here ~mild and pure sunshine~ that I'm off to the woods to gather some different pines to bundle and hang here and there!

Just a little shout out first for

Père Noël!

A new sign I've listed on ebay for a little French Country Christmas!

...you can see more of him here.

Au Revoir sweet bloggers!

So pretty, Paula. And you're right, it is a gorgeous mild and sunny day here in our neck of the woods. I should have taken your led and went outside to "trim" my pines for swags and bunchings in my window boxes, etc. I've been inside decorating all day.

Can't wait to see what treasures you found on your journey today!

Oh Paula...
Looks so creative. I love the green pots witht he boxwoods. Looks so pretty on the white mantel.

How fotunate you are to be able to go into the woods and pick greens. The only green I have out there is cactus, and they aren't going to make it on my mantel.

Have a beautiful Sunday sweetie. Stop by soon and say hi. I love it when you visit.

Very LOVELY, I love the pots of boxwood and the color of them mixed with the silver and gold beads. Lucky you to have a mantle in your kitchen. I have a faux mantle in my bedroom :) Your new picture is gorgeous!

The decorations are charming and elegant, much like the decorator me thinks. You gave me a wonderful idea (no kidding) for another Christmas....I could hire you to put up and take down all of my stuff! Then I would actually use it!

The sign is great, absolutely SO great, I would have purchased it before leaving you a comment this morning, had it been on etsy. I hate to bid in this day and age....makes me a kill joy, doesn't it? I have a best friend who would love to own it...and her birthday is in March...maybe we can transact after the holidays?!

Hi Paula, your decorations are really beautiful, so inspiring and chic, I love that you were going to the woods to collect pines. I hope you were successful and I am looking forward to seeing what you found and made. Pere Noel looks so nice, he reminds me that I found a place here in Ireland that does a Green Santa trip for the children to visit. Hugs, Margie.

Hi Paula,
Of course you can use the photo of your beautiful vintage sign for your album.
I can't wait to start doing all the things I love to do again. Its hard to just sit on the couch but if it helps to mend, then I will sit for as long as it takes. I may grow roots(LOL)
Enjoy your day,
Elizabeth
