I'm still here & what do you think of these....?

I'm still here!!!
still on the 'right side of the grass' as my comedian father likes to say!

Just been busy, busy with this that and the other...{all a good busy tho}....
This morning on my way out for an early errand
my heart nearly skipped a beat when I saw these in the front yard....

Tulips!

...up and at 'em ....

I didn't even know they were awake!!

Have I been so busy I missed the daffodils and crocus'?

Spring is so close ...I can feel it!

Here's something I picked up at the flea market a ways back. I got about ten of them for

*cheap cheap*

I've been pondering what to do with them for quite some time now.

They are some sort of doors to an old chest, really neat hinge marks left in them and a glass viewing window. The lady who sold them to me thought they were part of an old apothecary chest but she wasn't sure. Shall I paint them with neat typography in black, maybe some gold?? Turn them back into a reproduction chest??

...I can't decide!!

Thought I'd ask some of the most creative people I know...what do you think?

Hi Paula....that door is awesome! whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be wonderful!
Do you ever wholesale? or just retail?
I will be ordering a sign for my shop...Seashells and Lavender...any suggestions on design? I'd also like some little signs that say...seashells, lavender, and some other vintage signs.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well, if you got 10 of them Paula, I might use two for doors to a chest or cabinet ~ painted, of course! : ) The would probably make great sign/coat hooks, too.

I don't have any idea's but I know you'll come up with something wonderful:) I was wondering if you make any bird themed signs, I looked thru your Etsy but didn't see any (as if you need more to do haha!).

I love Tulips!!!

Nice toes!!!!! Even nicer that you can go out bare foot!
I'd love to have those door panels...how about Bath House! written on one? But it would be nice to make a cupboard! I'm just as indecisive as you! It shall come to you.

a great day it is!

Hi Sweet Paula! My hydrangea are starting to green up and I'm excited, too!

Love those glass door thingies! Do you paint on glass? Might do a fairly simple design on the glass or just some words, then whitewash the door and add some crystal knobs (in between those awesome hinge indentations). Whatever you decide will be wonderful, I'm sure!

Spring is close.....oh so close! Yay! Gosh...10 of those gorgeous doors?? You could do so many different things with them. I would definitely take one or two and make a neat hanging rack with some vintage hooks on them! Have fun brainstorming and creating, girl! :)

We have crocuses, daffodils and tulips all looking like yours. It's exciting!

What about gold typography with a black outline, as you would've seen on the old timey office doors with glass windows. I'm drooling at the thought!!!

I'm just now catching up on my reading and I had to throw my two cents in here....I love those doors! I love the idea of painting & distressing them and adding old hooks or glass knobs. Anthropology has some great knobs as you know :0) Or making a sign or two with your beautiful work. They would look lovely hanging outside. p.s. what pretty feet you have.

Oh wow. I have no ideas but they are so cool! They're too small to make a screen...what about some kind of a hanging screen, though, for a porch? Love the flowers. Great pedicure, too, girl!
