bumped into a cutie on the beach!

Yesterday afternoon the sun came out...it was a warm 60 degrees...and the whole family was home ~each busy working on a different chore~ when we decided to take off to the beach! We do that alot, just play hooky, pack up and go! Life's too short not to, right?
What a thrill to spot a cute seal pup on our Delaware beach!
Apparently seal sightings are common on our beaches this time of year,
something I never knew!

There were volunteers from MERR (Marine Education, Research and Rehabilitation) there. They were keeping a watchful eye on the pup as she rested....they said she was fine...

just napping....

isn't she so cute?

We are so lucky to live so close to the beautiful Delaware coast!

Hope all of you had a warm & sunny weekend ...maybe even got a sunny nap squeezed in too!

Hope the seal pup made it safely back into the water. Just sunning herself :-) We had rain all day Saturday, then Sunday it was bright and clear again, but COLD! Well, cold for So. Calif. anyway ;-) Have a WARM week! -Cheryl

That sounds so nice "60 degrees" I'm freezing here! Must have been something to see that seal lying there. Thanks for sharing your pictures!

I have seen that before and I love the fact that people are so protective of the wildlife. They won't let you get too close and will make sure she is alright. So happy you got to see what you have been missing, Char

oooHHH! I love that seal! I want to have him for a pet! Our seals on the Oregon coast are huge fat slobs that are as big as a barn! Love your sweet, inspirational, blog.
