One more day!

Tomorrow is the big day....if you haven't had a chance to enter my giveaway click on the button to the right and get your name in the proverbial hat!

We've had some absolutely gorgeous weather here the past few days. It has made for some great goings on in the yard...check out my son, look close...

see the monkey in the tree with the chainsaw? that's him!

{you look as worried as I was...he's actually trained for this so it made it a little easier to watch!}

Finally that weedy wild cherry tree is down! I've been asking for this for years. I have a vision for this little side yard...it looks something like this...

I have no idea when or how I'll get to creating this little vision but at least step one is complete...wild cherry gone, check!

Hope all of you are having a beautiful sun shiny day!

  2. Hey Paula! Oh yeah! I've been keeping my fingers crossed ~ all this time! ;o) ~ and thinking positive thoughts!

    Oh boy, I wouldn't be able to watch that, let alone take a picture of it. Have fun planning your new garden spot! I love how you can see the water tower from your yard. It's so "small-town"!!! It's been YEARS since I've been to Laurel. Think the last time was for a high school football - in and out of town within a couple hours.

    I'll be back tomorrow to see if I'm the lucky winner! hehe

  6. You guys are so funny! I did just click this photo and I ran back in the house...saying a little prayer! My husband said..'relax, he's an expert at this' and I told him...'yeah, but I'm not an expert at the medical attention he could need soon!!'

  8. Paula, I wouldn't care if he was trained to do this or not. It would terrify me! Of course I am the biggest chicken when it comes to heights. I have my fingers crossed that this sign is coming to my house.

  11. I have such a fear of heights, I got dizzy just looking at the photo. But, boys will be boys and I guess no matter how old they get they can still continue to turn our hair grey!

    My FIL and hubby made me a new shelf to go underneath my gorgeous Lavande sign that I won from you:) It has hooks on it so I just ordered some dried lavender to hang from them! My lavender vignette is growing!!!
