Oh, and my favorite?
Greens!
I love lot's of fresh greenery all around the house!
I gather from the gardens or the woods starting on Thanksgiving day
(usually a family walk with the dog...it's a great cure for 'oooohhh I ate too much'!)
then a week or so of making my own wreaths and garlands.
I add lot's of white lights and silver and gold embellishments... love it:)

I love the mantel with the balls and the glass trees sitting on it. With the few sprigs of greenery it gives that mantel such a flair. I love it. Thanks for sharing.

It's funny, I'm not as far downstate as you, but we're still referred to as being in LSD here in Middletown - especially by those living above the C&D Canal. I grew up in Newark, right across from the Christiana Hospital. I'm a native - not too many of us around.
