Never been much for

Black Friday, and I'm guessing if you're reading this you aren't too. I do have a childhood memory of one Black Friday my parents ventured out. But it wasn't to buy gifts, it was to purchase a new oven. That was the year Mom burnt the turkey, and the oven along with it.
We woke up to smoke alarms going off at like 6am..
that was a Thanksgiving to remember!
{we can laugh about it now}...

I guess there simply has never been anything I wanted, or I wanted to give so badly that it warranted getting up at the wee hours of the morning, getting into a cold vehicle and joining masses of strangers at a store. Nope, nothing, never!
Now if by chance this particular item was a Black Friday special ...

say...70% off....

"Magnificent stone built villa with small seaview on a closed
Alpes Maritimes 06, Provence-Cote-dAzur
€1,900,000"

...well...
THAT would be a horse of different color!!

happy bargain hunting to all!

I'm with you. I NEVER go out shopping on Black Friday. I am happy to stay home, avoiding the crowds - that kind of shopping gives me a headache!

That is so funny, well now it is, then probably not so much!!
I am home working on my hand made gifts. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it, but then I see the smiles and remember, yes it is.

I don't do Black Friday and, in fact, I make sure I have everything in the house I would need by Wednesday night because I don't go out at all on Black Friday. All those shoppers are usually on the roads, too!

I love your pictures of the burnt turkey and the flaming oven. They make for one great story! Glad you can laugh about it!

I did get up and go shopping at 4:00 in the morning. The only thing you missed was standing in a long line outside a store in the freezing cold. Didn't get one deal that I couldn't have gotten at a later time. Now I have to go and take a nap!

Now THAT I would get up for :)

I was safe in my warm bed this morning with a nice cup of coffee reading a magazine and watching mindless TV. I would rather be there than with a mass of people pushing and shoving. I created all day long and I am so happy I could just pop!

Thank you for putting my Giveaway on your page sweetie :)

I can do you one better: not only do I not shop on Black Friday, but any holiday shopping I do is completed before mid-November because I hate crowds, traffic, witchy salespeople, etc.

Now, of course, with the internet, 100% of my holiday shopping was completed as I drank my morning coffee, during the course of a couple of months. I loved it!

Who in your family had the presence of mind to grab a camera and capture the burnt turkey for posterity?! I want to shake their hand! EXCELLENT!!!!

Hope your weekend is great. Are your windows open? The ones in my master bedroom are and have been....even when it was raining....and frosting....
